WNAM REPORT: Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers – Head of the Presidential Administration Akylbek Zhaparov met with the ministers of economy and trade of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), as per reports.
During the meeting, the head of the Cabinet emphasized the importance of economic cooperation between the OTSmember countries, noting that in recent years, Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover with the OTS member states has grown by almost 62%, including exports increased by 54.6%, and imports – by almost 66%, the Cabinet of Ministers said.
“We are moving in the right direction, but we should not stop there. It is necessary to continue to look for new ways of trade and economic cooperation,” said Akylbek Zhaparov.
Zhaparov emphasized the importance of further combining efforts to strengthen the economic potential of the OTS member countries.
In conclusion of his speech, the chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers expressed Kyrgyzstan’s readiness to discuss new ideas and initiatives that will strengthen partnership and lead to mutual prosperity of the organization’s member states.
