ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): Secretary General of UBG (FPCCI), Zafar Bakhtawari, stated that the development of Swat will benefit the entire national economy, and UBG (FPCCI) will fully support this endeavor. He assured that all issues facing the Swat Chamber of Commerce will be addressed on a priority basis, with every possible effort to improve the infrastructure in the region. He expressed these views during a meeting with the President of Swat Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Noor Muhammad Khan, highlighting UBG (FPCCI)’s commitment to actively support Swat’s industrial and economic growth. Bakhtawari further guaranteed that these issues would be presented to the relevant authorities to ensure the protection of the business community’s interests in Swat.
During the meeting, Noor Muhammad Khan discussed the pressing business and industrial challenges in Swat and requested support across various sectors. Emphasizing the importance of establishing the Swat Industrial Estate, he stated that this step is crucial for accelerating the region’s business growth. He also highlighted the need for land allocation for the Swat Chamber building, repairs to the Kalam-Landakai Road, and infrastructure improvements. Additionally, he underscored the importance of enhancing security measures to create a safe environment for business.
Noor Muhammad Khan also stressed the need for modern processing plants to preserve fruits produced in Swat’s orchards, which would benefit local farmers. He proposed utilizing the region’s mineral resources and called for constructing a motorway from Chakdara to Fatehpur to improve accessibility and boost business activities. Bakhtawari appreciated these initiatives aimed at Swat’s industrial and business growth and assured that he would bring these demands to the attention of the government for effective resolution.
