WNAM REPORT: Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov announced the launch of a project to build a unique ski resort, which will become the largest in the CIS and Central Asia.
During the grand opening ceremony of the international airport in Karakol, the head of state spoke about a new tourism mega-project called Jyrgalan-Bozuchuk-Akbulak. Located just 70 kilometers from the newly built airport, the resort will be able to receive up to one million tourists annually and will operate all year round.
Sadyr Japarov emphasized that the creation of the so-called “Kyrgyz Courchevel” is the beginning of a large-scale program to develop tourism infrastructure in the region. The project is aimed not only at attracting guests, but also at demonstrating the unique flavor and hospitality of the Kyrgyz people.
