ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): Secretary General of UBG (FPCCI), Zafar Bakhtawari, emphasized the pivotal role of education in the development of any society. He stated, “The future of our nation depends on the education and mindset of our youth. Pakistan is a resource-rich country; instead of chasing dreams abroad, everything can be found here. Focus on entrepreneurship instead of jobs. I started D. Watson with just 20,000 rupees, and today, by the grace of Allah, it has become a brand. Hard work and honesty are essential for success. A personality built on 100% honesty will always thrive. Along with this, having skills and technical education is crucial. Whatever field you choose, ensure you have the necessary technical education for it.”
Addressing the event organized by the Mathematics Department of Air University Islamabad as a guest of honor, Zafar Bakhtawari highlighted the importance and utility of education. He encouraged students to join the Clean and Green Islamabad Movement’s awareness and cleanliness campaign. He underscored the significance of their role, stating that this movement is not just about cleanliness but also about fostering a sense of responsibility.
“Environmental pollution is a grave issue today, and to combat it, we need to act individually and collectively. I invite all of you students to be part of this campaign and contribute to improving the environment through cleanliness and tree plantation. Environmental protection is a national duty, and we hope you will carry this forward,” he said.
He expressed his gratitude to the faculty and administration of Air University for incorporating this topic into their educational activities. “Our efforts should not be limited to a campaign but should become a way of life. Along with education, your practical contributions can make Pakistan a developed and clean country,” he added.
During the event, students showcased their creativity with various models and projects. Zafar Bakhtawari visited different stalls, praised the students’ efforts, and appreciated their enthusiasm.
As part of the event, a tree plantation drive was launched with the collaboration of Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, Chairman of the Clean and Green Islamabad Movement. Zafar Bakhtawari formally inaugurated the campaign by planting a tree in the Mathematics Department’s lawn. He remarked, “Tree plantation not only helps keep the environment clean but also plays a crucial role in combating climate change.”
Dr. Iffat Zahra, Head of the Mathematics Department, addressed the gathering and urged students to actively participate in the Clean and Green Movement, highlighting the vital role of youth in environmental protection. Madam Aneela and Adeel Arshad shed light on the importance of cleanliness and its impact on the educational environment.
