As if the present disputes among the super powers weren’t enough President Trump’s recent claim over ownership of Greenland has touched off a new issue likely to create further tension among the super powers.
Trump wants to make it a part of the US at all costs for what he bills as security reason of his country. Some of the European countries however think differently. Considered to be world’s biggest island Greenland is a mineral – rich land inhabiting roughly speaking a little over 50000 people. Washington wants to go as far as buying it come hell or high water as it fears that Russia and China might extend their influence in it if America does not occupy bit thus posing danger to US security.
