WNAM REPORT: National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, visited a new treatment facility located north of the Garagum River.
During the visit, he was shown a video about the operation of the new complex, and was also shown equipment for wastewater treatment. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of a responsible approach by specialists to the operation of the facility and noted that the level of water purification meets high environmental requirements.
The treatment facility includes a reservoir, a closed drainage system, an irrigation water complex, ozone generators and a tank for storing 100 thousand cubic meters of water. It is planned to process wastewater and use purified water for irrigation of green areas, parks, gardens, as well as for industrial needs of the city of Arkadag and nearby villages. Excess volumes of processed water will be discharged into the Garagum River.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave instructions to study the composition of water on a scientific basis in special laboratories, emphasizing the importance of complying with environmental standards.
