WNAM MONITORING: Turkmenistan plans a major overhaul of the Guwlyduz plant under the Türkmenhimiýa State Concern, followed by the construction of new workshops to produce high-quality salt. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for Construction and Industry, Baymyrat Annamammedov, announced the plans during an online government meeting on Friday, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
Annamammedov outlined ongoing efforts to use local raw materials efficiently and improve production processes at Guwlyduz. The State Concern is implementing projects to introduce modern technologies that produce competitive, eco-friendly products in demand on the global market.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of effectively using local resources and developing production facilities that meet international standards. Approving the proposal for the plant’s overhaul and the construction of new workshops, he instructed the deputy prime minister for industry to take the necessary steps to implement the project.
Guwlyduz stands as one of the leading enterprises of the Türkmenhimiýa State Concern, ranking first in the region and fourth worldwide in table salt production.
