WNAM REPORT: At the invitation of the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will pay a state visit to France from March 11 to 13.
The visit program in Paris includes high-level negotiations and events, along with several meetings involving French officials and business representatives.
The agenda for these upcoming contacts will focus on further developing and strengthening multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and France.
Particular emphasis will be placed on expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, investment, and financial sectors and advancing joint projects with France’s leading companies and enterprises.
Following the summit, the parties plan to sign intergovernmental and interagency agreements.
In addition, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will meet with UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay to discuss practical aspects related to the preparation and organization of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, scheduled to take place in Samarkand this autumn.
A comprehensive program of events has been organized ahead of the upcoming visit.
On March 1, a bust honoring the great scholar Abu Rayhan Beruni was unveiled at the Uranoscope Observatory in Gretz-Armainvilliers.
Currently, forums and conferences dedicated to healthcare, science and education, culture, tourism, and business are underway in Paris. Joint business events will also take place in Toulouse, Lyon, and Nice.
