RAWALPINDI ( WNAM REPORT ): A high-level delegation from the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), led by President Usman Shaukat and Group Leader Sohail Altaf, met with Federal Minister for Railways, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, to present a key infrastructure initiative—the establishment of a dry port at Missa Kaswal, Gujar Khan.
Minister Abbasi appreciated the proposal and gave his principled approval, recognizing the potential of the project to enhance trade, reduce logistical costs, and boost regional connectivity. He assured the RCCI delegation of his full support and pledged close collaboration between the Ministry and RCCI to take the project forward.
Also present at the meeting were RCCI Senior Vice President Khalid Farooq Qazi, former RCCI President Zahid Latif Khan, Executive Committee members, and former Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar.
During the meeting, the delegation also extended congratulations to the Minister on assuming office and explored further opportunities for public-private partnerships to drive infrastructure development and economic growth in the region.
