WNAM REPORT: Director General of Immigration of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Saleh Saad Almirba, visited Jakarta on Monday night (Apr 22) to ensure the readiness of Hajj services in Indonesia.
“Today, we only visit Indonesia to confirm the readiness of all the operating sites in Indonesia. Insha Allah, work well,” Almirba stated at Soekarno Hatta Airport here on Tuesday morning (Apr 22).
The visit was part of the efforts to ensure the continuation of the Makkah Route Initiative, a Saudi Arabian immigration service conducted at Indonesian airports.
The initiative was carried out to provide services to pilgrims from all countries who will perform the Hajj pilgrimage.
“This is an effort by our government, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud, to serve the pilgrims in all Islamic countries,” he remarked.
Almirba ensured that the initiative would continue and also be expanded across the country.
He remarked that Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest Muslim population.
Hence, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia pays special attention and is responsible for the pilgrimage in general.
In addition to ensuring service readiness, the visit aimed to address several requests and needs of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims.
“There are needs and requests for some countries. This initiative was created to serve the guests of King Salman and the guests of the Most Merciful Allah SWT to come to the pilgrimage season, which is the fifth pillar of the pillars of Islam,” the director general stated.
