WNAM MONITORING: On May 21, as part of the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States, cultural events were held in Budapest’s Városliget Park with the participation of the First Ladies of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as the spouse of the Prime Minister of Hungary.
The spouse of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva, together with Anikó Lévai, spouse of the Prime Minister of Hungary, and Aigul Japarova, First Lady of the Kyrgyz Republic, visited the House of Music located in Városliget Park.
The House of Music is a cultural and educational center built in 2022, designed by renowned Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto. A special concert by a Hungarian folk ensemble was organized for the First Ladies as part of the visit. The program featured traditional Hungarian melodies and folk tunes from Central Asia, again underscoring the cultural closeness and musical kinship between the peoples. The guests were also briefed on the construction of the House of Music and its areas of activity.
The First Ladies also toured the permanent exhibition “Dimensions of Sound – Musical Journey Through Space and Time”. This interactive exhibit covers seven key stages in developing European and Hungarian music and features more than 300 musical excerpts.
As part of the cultural visit, the guests experienced the “Sound Dome” audiovisual installation – a 360-degree immersion into the world of sound. The delegation showed great interest in the center’s concert halls, music education laboratories, and showrooms equipped with cutting-edge acoustic technologies.
Following this, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva visited Vajdahunyad Castle in the same park. The castle’s architectural design is a harmonious blend of Gothic, Baroque, and Renaissance styles.
The castle houses the Museum of Hungarian Agriculture, which features unique exhibits dedicated to traditional Hungarian farming, viticulture, and food production.
During the visit, it was again emphasized that cultural heritage, music, and history are essential to strengthening friendship and cooperation among the Turkic peoples.
