ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): The Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) in Islamabad warmly welcomed the momentous resolution passed by the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which declares May 25 as Pakistan-Africa Friendship Day, and concurrently highlights the imperatives for enhanced cooperation across diverse sectors.
The Senate of Pakistan unanimously adopted this resolution on May 22, 2025, in the presence of the resident African Ambassadors and diplomats in Islamabad while commemorating Africa Day 2025.
The Embassy of Ethiopia in Islamabad highly appreciates the Senate of Pakistan for the adoption of this pivotal resolution which highlights unwavering commitment of Pakistan to expand its relations with the African continent in line with its ‘Look Africa’ and ‘Engage Africa’ policies.
