WNAM REPORT: Specialists of the Scientific and Production Center for Horse Breeding of the State Association “Türkmen atlary” have begun studying and practical application of modern physiotherapeutic technologies for the treatment and prevention of diseases of the musculoskeletal system of horses, the newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan” reports.
The research is being conducted jointly with teachers from the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annaev in the city of Arkadag and includes the development of methods for using electromagnetic fields and various types of radiation.
The scientific work uses advanced equipment from leading global manufacturers. For phototherapy, a special therapeutic solarium “Summerwind Premium Solarium” from the company “Horse Gym 2000” is used, which provides a dosed effect of infrared and ultraviolet radiation on the animal’s body.
In the field of laser therapy, specialists work with the laser veterinary device “Mphi Vet” from the company “ASA Laser”. This method is based on the effect of light energy of low-intensity laser radiation, which helps improve metabolism, has an anti-inflammatory effect and stimulates tissue regeneration.
Magnetic therapy uses the Biomag Lumina electromagnetic blanket from Biomag, which creates alternating high-frequency magnetic fields. This method is especially effective for horses during the rehabilitation period after illnesses and for prevention after training and competitions.
The introduction of physiotherapeutic methods is a priority area of scientific research at the center, which in the future will allow the studied methods to be applied in practical horse breeding in the country for the treatment of Akhal-Teke and other horse breeds.
