The advent of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, grandson of founder of PPP must be giving many sleepless nights to Asif Ali Zardari who is bent upon making his son Bilawal as next prime minister of the country as if Pakistan is a monarchy and not a parliamentary democracy. The sudden appearance of ZA Bhutto junior must have been like a bolt from the blue for Zardari.
Young ZA Bhutto junior is still in his salad days. One wonders whether or not he would be able to withstand the political chicanery of which Zardari is a pastmaster in case he starts to strike back and played his political cards to offset Bhutto junior’s political onslaught against him.
Young ZA Bhutto’s strategy seems to be to underscore the point that Zardari has hijacked PPP which belonged to him as natural heir to Bhutto’ legacy. He will also play up the allegations that the present PPP leadership is marred by corruption galore.
