WNAM MONITORING: President of Turkmenistan has signed a resolution establishing new district administrations across several regions of the country. The decision supports the implementation of the “Program of Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2022–2028” and the updated “National Program to Improve the Living Conditions of the Population.”
The new administrations have been established in recently formed districts: Altyn Asyr in Ahal province; Garashsyzlyk and Gubadag in Dashoguz; Farap, Dowletli and Garabekewul in Lebap; and Oguzhan in Mary province, according to official Turkmen media reports on Friday.
The provincial administrations have been instructed, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, and the Ministry of Justice, to prepare organizational structures and staffing schedules for the newly established bodies and submit them to the Cabinet of Ministers.
Earlier, the Mejlis (Parliament) of Turkmenistan passed a resolution assigning several newly formed settlements in Ahal and Dashoguz provinces to the category of villages and townships.
