Azerbaijan-Pakistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry Showcases Prominent Stall at “AZHAB Forum 2025”

A milestone in Strengthening Pakistan-Azerbaijan Trade Relations

Baku (WNAM REPORT ): The Azerbaijan-Pakistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (APJCCI) marked a distinguished presence at the 2nd Azerbaijan Halal Business (AZHAB) Forum 2025, held in Baku under a two-day international exhibition. The Chamber’s stall emerged as one of the key attractions, drawing significant attention from local and international delegates, dignitaries, and business leaders.

During the exhibition, several notable figures visited the Chamber’s stall, including Dr. Ahmed Kawesa Sengendo, Assistant Secretary General for Economic Affairs at OIC; Jordan’s Ambassador Omar Nahar; SMEDA CEO Socrat Aman Rana; Pakistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Qasim M. Moinuddin; MUSIAD Azerbaijan Chairman Rasad Kabirli; and senior representatives from the Ministries of Economy, Trade, Tourism, and Religious Affairs of Azerbaijan, along with leading businesspersons and investors from various Muslim countries.

The visitors showed keen interest in the Pakistani delegation’s presentations on Halal food, textiles, trade promotion, technology exchange, and investment initiatives.

Speaking on the occasion, APJCCI President Waqar Bakhtawari emphasized the need for the Muslim Ummah to actively participate in the USD 4 trillion global Halal industry market. He stated, “We must harness our collective strength, capital, and resources to advance this sector. Strengthening the Halal industry will not only boost intra-Muslim trade but also open new avenues for economic self-reliance and employment generation.”

He further noted that trade cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan continues to deepen, and the AZHAB Forum serves as an excellent platform for both countries’ business communities to explore new opportunities for investment, partnerships, and joint ventures in the Halal sector.

The APJCCI stall received extensive coverage from Azerbaijani media, while multiple companies expressed interest in forming joint ventures with the Chamber.

Both countries’ business leaders reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the Halal industry, bilateral trade, and industrial and technological cooperation among Muslim nations.

The Pakistani delegation included Chairman of the Chamber and UBG Secretary General Zafar Bakhtawari, Owais Satti, Malik Shabbir Awan, Nasir Ali Raki, Mohsin Khalid Malik, Roheel Anwar Butt, Umer Khayyam Abbasi, Shumaila Siddiqui, Malik Abdul Aziz, Abid Bakhtawari, Asad Aziz, Yousaf Rajput, Haris Bakhtawari, and Fatima Hassan.
