Pakistan, Canada FMs discuss strengthening trade, investment cooperation

WNAM REPORT: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar received a call from Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand, wherein they discussed bilateral ties and the ways to strengthen cooperation.

The two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral trade and investment, including sectors such as agriculture and mines and minerals, and collaboration under the Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (FIPPA).

The Canadian foreign minister thanked DPM Dar for facilitating market access for Canadian canola exports to Pakistan.

Both leaders appreciated recent constructive engagements and reaffirmed their commitment to advancing mutually beneficial economic cooperation, besides agreeing to remain in close contact.
