WNAM REPORT: A meeting on the development of international cooperation in cultural and artistic education was held at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Director of the Center for Cultural Education of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisher Jamaldinov, Rector of the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) Grigory Zaslavsky and Head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Uzbekistan Irina Staroselskaya attended the event.
The parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation to strengthen the partnership between Uzbekistan and Russia in education, culture, and art.
The document provides for the development of cooperation in theatrical art, acting, and directing, the organization of professional development and training programs, creative exchanges, and the implementation of joint projects.
As part of the agreement, it is planned to organize theater festivals, master classes, internships, and special acting and directing courses at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts – GITIS for specialists from Uzbekistan.
Today, more than 350 Uzbekistan students are studying at leading Russian universities, which allows them to learn from the experience of recognized masters and to participate in joint productions and educational projects.The signing of the memorandum opens new horizons for professional growth, creative and educational exchange, and promotes the strengthening of ties between cultural figures of the two countries and the development of future joint projects.
