Shavkat Mirziyoyev visits monument of first President Islam Karimov

WNAM Monitoring: President Shavkat Mirziyoyev laid flowers at the monument of  Islam Karimov in Tashkent city.

There is no future without historical memory. We remember with gratitude the historical merits of the First President gaining independence and building a state in Uzbekistan.

Thanks to the attention of the Head of state Shavkat Mirziyoyev the memory of the First President was immortalized, and his mausoleum was built. It has become a tradition to celebrate his birthday on January 30th.

Honoring the memory of the great sons of the motherland is an essential value of our people. This was embodied in today’s memorial event. The verses of the Quran and dua were recited. Islam Karimov’s merits in ensuring people’s interests and his human qualities were mentioned.

The ceremony, held at the Scientific and Enlightenment Memorial Complex named after Islam Karimov, was also attended by members of the chambers of the Oliy Majlis, representatives of the Presidential Administration and government, scientists and cultural figures, and the city public.

Flowers were also laid at the monuments to the First President in the cities of Samarkand and Karshi.
