In the past only the nabobs of the sub continent could afford to live in palace- like mansions and sport Roll Royce motor cars. Today film actors and sportsmen have stepped into their shoes. Many of them have their own private jets to boot, like the ones in use of rulers of Saudi Arabia and Arab Emirates. The sportsmen and film actors are today living an extravagant life. Just look at their luxurious way of life whether they live in Hollywood or in Mumbai or in the desert enclave of Dubai.

Almost every principle accused in the notorious Kohistan financial scandal case has applied for plea bargain agreeing to deposit a big amount of the embezzled money by him in the government treasury for getting release from the criminal case against him. Isn’t it ridiculous and mockery of justice that a person against whom case of embezzlement of hefty government money is proved manages to escape punishment and go scot free after parting some amount of the embezzled money by depositing it in government treasury. Such accused persons should be handed over to the firing squad as is done in China. Unless harsh punishment is given to those who had embezzled hefty amounts the corruption is not going to go away from the country.
