WNAM REPORT: The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Faisal Rathore, has stated that there are vast opportunities for investment and business in Azad Kashmir, and that Pakistan’s business community, especially traders from Islamabad, should take advantage of these investment opportunities.
The Azad Kashmir government is providing investors with every possible facility and incentive to promote industrial and commercial activities and accelerate the region’s economic development.
He expressed these views during a meeting yesterday with Secretary General of the United Business Group (UBG), Zafar Bakhtawari, and Abid Bakhtawari.
The Prime Minister said that Azad Kashmir is an ideal area for investment in natural resources, tourism, energy, agriculture, and housing, and that a business-friendly environment exists here. He added that the government is taking policy measures to provide facilities to the business community and simplify the investment process.
On this occasion, Zafar Bakhtawari stated that the business community is deeply interested in investment opportunities in Azad Kashmir, and that the private sector can play an important role in the region’s economic development. He said that by providing facilities to investors, not only can employment opportunities be created, but regional trade can also be promoted.
He expressed the commitment that the United Business Group will play its role in promoting investment and will inform the business community about the opportunities available in Azad Kashmir.
During the meeting, discussions were also held on mutual cooperation, promoting investment, and further strengthening business links. Emphasis was placed on the need for the government and private sector to work together on initiatives that will boost economic activity in Azad Kashmir and further strengthen investor confidence.
