ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): General Matin Tokel, Commander Turkish Land Forces, called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, at Air Headquarters, Islamabad. The meeting focused on further strengthening bilateral defence cooperation and fostering collaborative endeavours across multiple domains of mutual interest.
Chief of the Air Staff highlighted the deep-rooted historical, cultural and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Turkiye, underpinned by the enduring bonds of Islamic brotherhood, mutual trust and shared strategic interests. He emphasized that Pakistan greatly values its longstanding defence partnership with Turkiye and remains committed to further strengthening bilateral relations across key domains of training, defence collaboration and technological cooperation. The Air Chief also underscored the importance of enhanced military-to-military engagement in light of the evolving regional security landscape, stressing the need for continued coordination and close cooperation between the Armed Forces of both brotherly nations. He also shared insights on PAF’s indigenization efforts, including advancements under the National Aerospace Science & Technology Park, and PAF’s growing expertise in unmanned systems, artificial intelligence and next-generation defence technologies.
