Islamabad ( WNAM REPORT ) Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced admissions for the Fall 2026 semester in a wide range of academic programs from Matriculation to PhD level. The nationwide admission campaign will officially begin on July 1, 2026 across all four provinces of Pakistan as well as Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and other northern regions.
In line with the vision of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood, the University is expanding its portfolio of market-driven and job-oriented programs to equip young people with the education and skills required in today’s competitive environment. As part of this initiative, various technical, professional, diploma and certificate programs will also be offered during the semester to help develop a skilled workforce capable of contributing to the country’s socio-economic development.
The programs open for admission include Matric General, Matric Science, Matric Dars-e-Nizami, FA General, I.Com, FA Dars-e-Nizami, Associate Degree Programs (BA, B.Com and BBA), Associate Degree in Education, two-year Associate Degree Programs in various disciplines, BS (ODL) and BS (Face-to-Face) programs, 1.5-year, 2.5-year and 4-year B.Ed programs, Postgraduate Diploma programs as well as MS, MPhil, and PhD programs.
Admission forms and prospectuses for all programs will be available on the University’s website from July 1, 2026. Students will be able to choose programs according to their academic needs and career aspirations and submit their applications within the stipulated admission period.
