KABUL(WNAM Monitoring): A coordination meeting between border officials of Afghanistan and Iran took place at the Islam Qala port in Herat province. The meeting aimed to coordinate border issues and enhance border cooperation.
The Ministry of National Defense’s press office announced today that the meeting occurred on Tuesday, led by Brig. Gen.
Mohammad Rahim “Khadem”, the commander of the Fifth Border Brigade of the 207th Zafar Military Corps. Col. Mohammad Reza “Bayat”, the deputy representative of the Iranian border guard, and Col. Shida, another senior Iranian border commander, also participated in the meeting.
The meeting addressed border issues and existing challenges and discussed ways to strengthen border cooperation. Both sides expressed their commitment to expanding border cooperation.
