ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has intensified its crackdown against drug traffickers, conducting seven operations across the country, arresting seven suspects and seizing 174.82 kilograms of drugs worth over Rs3.83 crore.
During international drug interdiction, ANF recovered 228 grams of ice concealed in clothes inside a parcel destined for Bahrain at a courier office in Faisalabad.
In domestic operations, 125kg of ice was seized near Turbat, Kech, while 10.8kg of hashish was recovered in Lahore. Another 4kg of ice was seized from a vehicle in Lahore, while 12kg of hashish was recovered near Karachi’s Northern Bypass.
In inter-provincial operations, ANF seized 16.8kg of hashish near Islamabad Motorway Toll Plaza and 6kg from a motorcyclist near Hazro Toll Plaza, Attock.
Cases have been registered against the accused under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA), 1997, and further investigations are underway.
