WNAM REPORT: China will assist Pakistan in establishing a state-of-the-art law enforcement center equipped with artificial intelligence (AI)-based technology, an official statement said on Wednesday.
The agreement was reached during a meeting between Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and visiting Chinese Vice Minister for Public Security Gao Qi in Islamabad.
The two sides discussed ways to expand cooperation to contain terrorism and drug trafficking, according to a statement from Pakistan’s Interior Ministry.
They also agreed to expand a police training exchange program between the two countries, in addition to cooperation on the latest technology and equipment.
Qi lauded Pakistan’s sacrifices and resolve against terrorism.
Naqvi, for his part, said that the law enforcement center would serve as another symbol of Pakistan-China friendship.
He emphasized that Chinese AI-based technology and equipment could prove highly beneficial in addressing security challenges.
