ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Chinese Vice Minister of Public Security Gao Qi on Wednesday agreed to expand security cooperation and establish a modern law enforcement centre in Pakistan.During the meeting, both sides discussed bilateral relations, joint measures against terrorism and narcotics, and cooperation in internal security.They agreed to enhance collaboration in police training exchange programmes, technology transfer, and modern law enforcement systems.Minister Naqvi said the proposed law enforcement centre would become another symbol of Pakistan-China friendship, adding that Pakistan wants to further expand cooperation with China in internal security.He said Chinese AI-based technology and equipment could provide significant support in addressing security challenges and strengthening institutional capacity.Chinese Vice Minister Gao Qi appreciated Pakistan’s sacrifices and commitment in the fight against terrorism and acknowledged its efforts to counter security threats and maintain stability.Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continue working together on counter-terrorism, anti-narcotics, police training and adoption of modern law enforcement practices.
