ISLAMABAD (WNAM REPORT): Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, Patron-in-Chief of the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry and former President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), has congratulated the newly elected Executive Members and the leadership of the Founder Group on securing all 28 general seats in the Associate and Corporate Classes in the ICCI Elections 2026-28.
Congratulating the newly elected Executive Members, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari appreciated the efforts of Founder Group Chairman Sheikh Tariq Sadiq and Council Members Khalid Javed, Abdul Rauf Alam, Mian Akram Farid, Zubair Ahmed Malik, Shaukat Masood, Khalid Iqbal Malik, Zafar Bakhtawari, Chaudhry Waheed-ud-Din, Sheikh Amir Waheed, Ijaz Abbasi and Masood Chaudhry.
He also congratulated the successful candidates from the Associate Class: Umar Hussain Malik, Muhammad Zakaria Akbar Zia, Muhammad Waqqas Khan, M. Abbas Hashmi, Syed Imran Bukhari, Israr-ul-Haq, Zohaib Arshad Malik, Syed Altaf Hussain Shah, Rana Ishtikhar Ahmed Khan, Muhammad Nauman, Mian Kamran Ali Shah Kakakhel, Malik Rashid Tufail, Mazhar Hussain and Shahid Hussain Abbasi.
Similarly, he extended his congratulations to the successful Corporate Class candidates: M. Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari said that electoral success marks the beginning of a new responsibility. He urged the newly elected representatives to play an effective role in addressing the issues faced by the business community, particularly taxation, electricity and gas tariffs, rising business costs, matters related to the Capital Development Authority (CDA), and ease of doing business.
He expressed hope that the new Executive Committee would work with unity, consultation and collective wisdom to meet the expectations of the business community and contribute effectively to improving the business environment.
