WNAM MONITORING: Uzbekistan Railways JSC has begun reconstructing and repairing the Hairatan – Mazar-i-Sharif railway line in Afghanistan.
A ceremony was held at the Hairatan station in honor of this event. It was attended by representatives of Uzbekistan Railways JSC and the Afghanistan Railway Administration.
In accordance with the signed agreement, work on the reconstruction of this railway line will be carried out in stages. At the first stage, it is planned to deliver freight cars to the Naibabad station in a short time.
To this end, restoration work will be organized in parallel in Park “B” of the Hairaton station and at the 57th kilometer of the railway infrastructure. Uzbekistan Railways JSC sent 120 workers there.
