WNAM MONITORING: President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the women and girls of Turkmenistan on International Women’s Day, celebrated on March 8.

The head of state emphasized that honoring mothers is a national principle of the Turkmens.
“Our women and girls who are devoted to the Fatherland, their native people and their father’s house, true to their word and hardworking, are the honor and dignity of the nation. In well-established expressions like a precious string of pearls, “Father’s advice, what is wisdom, a mother’s covenant is good,” “A girl’s disposition, what is the people’s disposition,” “The house where the daughter is, what is the yard with the sultana,” reflect the high dignity and respect of the people to women. With the onset of spring, the harbinger of new life, transforming the earth with bright colors, musical and song celebrations are organized in honor of mothers who worthily continue national principles and family values, girls and women who embody beauty and good manners. I am convinced that such events will inspire our dear women and increase in their hearts the feelings of love and pride for an independent Motherland,” noted the President of Turkmenistan.
