Tashkent: Chinese automaker Chery plans to introduce cars based on the Chery QPower architecture with hybrid technology in Uzbekistan.
Chery QPower architecture aims to promote a more efficient, greener and smarter global energy mix by offering solutions for various energy sources such as internal combustion combustion vehicles (ICE) and hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).
Director of Chery Uzbekistan, Mr. Gong, emphasized that QPower is Chery’s new power brand. It is a collection of Chery’s latest technologies, including engines, transmissions, hybrid engines, hybrid systems, batteries, motors, electronic controls and so on, similar to Audi’s quattro power brand and Toyota’s TNGA car concept.
According to him, QPower will be presented at the Beijing Global Auto Show in China in April, and then it is planned to begin its production in Uzbekistan in the fall of the third quarter of 2024.
Gong also noted that there are many models equipped with QPower technology. “We are currently planning to release the following models in Uzbekistan: Tiggo 8Pro PHEV (2024), Tiggo 7Pro PHEV (2024), Arrizo 8 PHEV, iCar 03 (2025), as well as the new Tiggo 8Pro (2024) and Tiggo 7Pro,” – he added.
