Jakarta: Defense Minister and President-elect Prabowo Subianto hosted a limited open house for government officials and supporters at his private home on Kertanegara Road, South Jakarta, on Wednesday.
Apart from invitees, the open house is off-limits for others, including residents waiting for Subianto on the road in front of his home. They flocked to the road, while vehicles carrying officials and volunteers entered Subianto’s home one after the other.
However, at 4 p.m. Jakarta time, the president-elect came out from his home and greeted residents and volunteers waiting for him since Wednesday afternoon.
“Thank you all. I ask for your forgiveness. Happy Eid to all,” Subianto told residents and volunteers flocking to his home.
Subianto then retreated to his home to continue the open house with government officials, including those from his ministry.
As of 4:48 p.m. Jakarta time, the officials who attended Subianto’s open house comprised Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, Secretary General of the Defense Ministry Donny Ermawan Taufanto, and Rector of the Indonesian Defense University Lieutenant General Jonni Mahroza.
