Washington: The United States welcomed the extension of the humanitarian pause in the Gaza Strip for two additional days.
“We would, of course, hope to see the pause extended further,” Spokesperson for the National Security Council (NSC) at the White House John Kirby said following the announcement of an extension of the pause.
The Palestinian and Israeli sides have reached an agreement to extend the humanitarian pause in Gaza for two additional days with the same previous conditions. Those conditions are a ceasefire and the entry of humanitarian aid. The agreement was reached within the framework of the joint mediation between the State of Qatar, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the United States of America.
