Tashkent: The Embassy of Uzbekistan, together with the popular Uzbek designer Zuhra Inat, organized a show of a collection of outfits in the Uzbek national style as part of the Riga Fashion Week “RFW,”.
The event was attended by representatives of Latvian ministries and departments, the diplomatic corps, the media and the public, as well as leading Latvian designers, show business and film stars.
At the event, guests were shown models made from traditional Uzbek fabrics adras and ikat, which combined the national traditions of Uzbek costume and modern trends.
The guests were informed that Uzbek national clothing is an integral part of the culture, history and national identity of our people. It was emphasized that the main goal of the MOEL BOSH brand is to take care of the preservation of national traditions and history, together with their integration into current trends in modern fashion.
It was emphasized that Uzbek fabrics have been famous for their diversity and high quality since time immemorial, and fabric production technologies are included in the UNESCO cultural heritage list.
At the same time, during the event, issues of establishing cooperation between manufacturers of the textile industry, as well as the supply of Uzbek fabrics to the Baltic countries, were discussed.
