TEHRAN: The Iranian armed forces are in a state of full preparedness for defense, the Army commander said, warning the enemies that the slightest act of aggression will draw Iran’s devastating response.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of military parades held in Tehran on Wednesday in celebration of the National Army Day, Army Commander Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi said what were displayed in today’s event were only a small section of Iran’s military capabilities.
He noted that Iran’s Army forces are on alert in defensive strongholds these days to act against any possible hostile move.
Any act of aggression against the interests of Iran will trigger the country’s fierce response in a way that the aggressor will regret their move, he added, warning the adversaries that any hostile action will make Iran respond with weapons more lethal than those put on display in the parades.
Since the enemies are constantly monitoring Iran’s military advances, they have already abandoned the military option against the Islamic Republic, the commander stated.
In remarks on Wednesday, President Ebrahim Raisi said Iran’s Operation True Promise which was carried out against Israel last week shattered the Israeli regime’s invincibility myth and proved that the regime’s power is like a spider’s web.
In the early hours of Sunday, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force launched tens of missiles and drones in retaliation for the Israeli regime’s April 1 airstrike that killed seven Iranian military commanders and advisers in Syria.
The IRGC commander said authentic reports about the Iranian missiles that have hit the Israeli targets indicate that the retaliatory operation has been considerably more successful than expected.
