Nasser Kan’ani, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, condemned the clause related to the three Iranian islands in the Persian Gulf included in the statement of the 33rd Arab Summit held in Bahrain’s capital, Manama on Thursday.
It has been repeatedly stated and emphasized that the three Iranian islands of Abu Musa, the Greater, and Lesser Tunbs are an inseparable and eternal part of Iran’s territory, he said, adding that such baseless claims are rejected in this statement.
He welcomed the clauses of the final statement in defense of the oppressed people of Palestine and the condemnation of the war crimes of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the need for more coherence and unity of Islamic countries to stop the war crimes of the Zionist regime.
