WNAM REPORT: The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Islamabad is pleased to announce that it will be holding the 2024 K-POP Festival on the 28th of June. 2024 K-pop World Festival is the world’s largest K-pop festival co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, and KBS(Korean Public Service Media).
The contest would have two categories: K-pop vocal or K-pop cover dance.
Applicants who are interested in this contest can apply for the competition by uploading a video file showcasing their talent to the link mentioned down below.
Among the teams selected in each country’s regional preliminary round, selected teams will advance to the final, and the final round will be held in Changwon, the Republic of Korea.
ㅇ Overview of the Regional Preliminary Round
– Date and time: 28th June 2024 (Fri) 6:00 PM
– Venue: PNCA(Pakistan National Council of the Arts), F-5/1, Islamabad
– Qualification: Those who can perform K-pop vocal performance or cover dance.
-Submission Duration for Online Preliminary Round : May 17th(Fri) ~ May 31st(Fri)
-Online Preliminary Round : June 3rd to June 5th
*The Embassy will notice the results of the shortlisted applicants from the online preliminary round individually.
*Please note that Korean citizens cannot apply for this event.
ㅇ Competition Type
– K-pop Vocal (Korean ballade is acceptable) or
– K-pop cover dance
※ Teuroteu or Gukak(Korean classical music) would not be reviewed.
