TEHRAN: Iran emerged champions of the 2024 CAFA U15 Women’s Championship after defeating hosts Tajikistan 4-0.
Iran, champions in 2019, had previously defeated Kyrgyzstan 5-1 and defending champions Uzbekistan 1-0 in the tournament held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
Uzbekistan finished second on six points with Kyrgyzstan third on three points.
In the end, Iran’s Maryam Khalilifar was named as the competition’s top scorer with five goals, and Yasna Soumehsaraei was chosen as MVP.
