ISLAMABAD (WNAM REPORT): Tajikistan Air Lines, SOMON Air has commenced flights between Dushanbe and Islamabad. The flights will operate on a weekly basis, departing from Dushanbe to Islamabad on every Thursday. The flight duration will be approximately 90 minutes. Boeing 737-800/900 planes will be used for this route. Both Dushanbe and Islamabad are in the same time zone, so passengers don’t need to adjust their watches. This new connection aims to strengthen bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Pakistan.
The business community of Islamabad has expressed its satisfaction over the significant initiative by expressing the hope that it will go a long way in the advancement of business to business and people to people, government to government contacts between the two countries. It also termed the flight operation an important mile stone in promoting the tourism on both the sides.
