WNAM REPORT: The Director General, Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat, Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmad and Consultant PR & Media, Khalid Sial, held a Khuli Katcheri in the Wafaqi Mohtasib Regional Office located at Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir under the directions of the Wafaqi Mohtasib, Mr. Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi. These officials listened to the public complaints against Federal Government Entities in Azad Kashmir area and passed on the spot instructions to their officials who were in attendance there.
The Khuli Katcheri was attended by a very large number of complainants belonging to Muzaffarabad and adjoining areas, who had a lot many complaints against Government Departments like NADRA, Pakistan Posts, BISP, National Savings, NHA and State Life Insurance Corporation. It was found that most of the complainants are not fully conversant with the procedure being followed the BISP in view of their lower literacy level. The Regional Director BISP remained a sympathetic person, who was always willing to help others. He took pains to resolve the complaints of most of the people on the spot and promised to look into complaints having legal issues, which need to be addressed properly before disbursing the grant.
The senior officials from the Wafaqi Mohtasib office instructed the representatives of the other organizations to spare no efforts in timely resolution of the public problems. Earlier, the Wafaqi Mohtasib officials also delivered an awareness lecture on how to get relief from the office of the Wafaqi Mohtasib. After the Khuli katcheri, the Wafaqi Mohtasib officials also met the press and media persons posted in Muzaffarabad and briefed them on the role and mandate of the Wafaqi Office particularly with regard to provision of relief to the people against Federal Government agencies.
