ISLAMABAD( WNAM REPORT): Allama Iqbal Open University, in collaboration with the Yunus Emre Institute, Turkye launched a two-week summer camp for children at its main campus, yesterday. Education Attaché of the Turkish Embassy, Dr. Mehmet Toyran graced the occasion as chief guest while Director of the Yunus Emre Institute, Dr. Halil Tokar also attended the event.
Dr. Mehmet Toyran, while speaking at the inaugural ceremony emphasized that “education and cultural exchange are the foundations of mutual respect and understanding between our countries, and this summer camp is a part of that effort.” The camp will provide practical training in archery under the guidance of expert instructors. Workshops on calligraphy will introduce children to the beauty of this traditional art, while Turkish language classes will teach basic conversational skills through engaging and interactive methods.
Director of International Collaboration and Exchange, AIOU Dr. Zahid Majeed thanked all the guests and stated that this summer camp represents a significant step in the ongoing efforts of the Yunus Emre Institute and the Directorate of International Collaboration and Exchange to promote cultural exchange and educational development between the two countries. The summer camp will continue until August 2, with the closing ceremony scheduled for the same day.
