WEB DESK: The Embassy of the Russian Federation expresses deep gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for hospitality and the opportunity for recreation for Russian schoolchildren – winners of the International Mathematical Olympiad. This is stated in a statement by the Russian diplomatic mission.
Earlier it was reported that at the invitation of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation, eight young mathematicians from Moscow and Kazan will spend 10 days on the Caspian Sea coast. The schoolchildren will relax in the “Dayanch” health center of the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone. A rich cultural and excursion program has been prepared for the children.
Let us remind that the Russian team performed brilliantly at the International Mathematical Olympiad, which took place on March 29 in the city of Arkadag. Students from Russia won 3 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals, and also took first place in the overall team standings. In total, schoolchildren from more than 120 educational institutions in 12 countries took part in the Olympiad.
