Cooperation with China is frank and sincere: Central African Republic President

WNAM REPORT:In a country facing numerous socioeconomic challenges, the path toward peace, security and reconciliation has been of paramount importance. Looking forward, development and modernization are now becoming a priority and cooperation with China plays a substantial and ever-increasing role. In this edition of Leaders Talk, CMG’s He Yanke sat down in Bangui with Faustin-Archange Touadéra, president of the Central African Republic, to discuss his approach to people-centered, hands-on governance and how Chinese President Xi Jinping’s leadership and China’s modernization have inspired him. Ahead of the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Beijing, he remarks that cooperation between Africa and China takes the realities into account. “It is a cooperation that is frank and sincere with a lot of friendship and brotherhood,” he says.
