WEB DESK: Representatives of the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan, headed by Rector G. Mezilov, visited the Republic of Korea from September 3 to 5 to participate in The World Smart City Expo 2024.
During the visit, they met with the leadership of Korea’s Sung Kyun Kwan University.
As reported by “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, the parties discussed areas and formats of bilateral cooperation in the field of science, education and technology. In particular, the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding between universities of the two countries as a basis for cooperation in the implementation of joint projects was discussed.
The rector of Seonggyungwan University, Mr. Ji-Beom Yoo, proposed to create a Korean center on the basis of a Turkmen university in the direction of “smart city”.
Founded in 1398, Sung Kyun Kwan University is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in South Korea. Located in Seoul, the university offers a variety of programs and research opportunities, especially in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, and IT.
