Turkmenistan continues to promote clean energy, innovation, and regional connectivity

WNAM MONITORING: The High-level dialogue gathered energy sector leaders from Central Asian countries, the EU, and GIZ officials.

The discussion focused on regional consensus in renewable energy priorities, electricity trade, and steps toward cross-border cooperation and market harmonization.

Ambassador Sapar Palvanov delivered an opening address, emphasizing Turkmenistan’s dual responsibility as an energy power:

“First, to ensure a stable and secure energy supply for our region. And second, to meet our climate commitments and contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable future.”

He highlighted Turkmenistan’s strategic framework and practical progress on the ground.

The Ambassador also underlined Turkmenistan’s growing cooperation with GIZ in capacity building and training programs for young energy specialists, stressing that:

“Through this partnership, we are not only building projects, but we are also building people.”

Turkmenistan continues to promote clean energy, innovation, and regional connectivity in line with the SDGs.
