WNAM MONITORING: The COP29 NGO Coalition held a zoom meeting on October 4. During the meeting, it was announced that the coalition’s ranks are expanding daily, with 335 NGOs from 71 countries now part of it.
During the meeting, global initiatives put forward by Azerbaijan were welcomed by leading civil society representatives across the world. The COP29 NGO Coalition once again called on states to join Azerbaijan’s Joint Solemn Appeal for a COP29 Truce.
The meeting discussed opportunities for joint cooperation during COP29, focused on environmental and gender issues, and featured presentations by speakers from European, African, and Asian countries on various topics.
The Azerbaijan National NGO Forum represents the country in the COP29 NGO Coalition.
