WNAM REPORT: Kazakhstan Culture Days were held in Ashgabat between October 7-10. The culmination of the events was a gala concert featuring eminent artists from Kazakhstan, which was held at the Mukamov Palace of the State Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan, Kazinform News Agency has learned from the Kazakh Culture and Information Ministry.Performing the “Shattyk Eli” (The Land of Fun) music composition, the Kurmangazy National Folk Instruments Orchestra opened the concert. People’s Artist of Kazakhstan, Ramazan Stamgaziev, performed a composition “On sausak” (Ten fingers), while the “Jan Watanym Türkmenistan” song was presented by honored Kazakh artist Alisher Karimov. Additionally, Rassul Zharmagambetov, Ablay Tlepbergen, Tanat Sadenov, and the dance ensemble Birlik also performed.Following Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s official visit to Turkmenistan, the Kazakhstan Culture Days were held. The historical film directed by Akan Satatyev The Dawn of the Great Steppe (Uly Dala Tany) featuring the golden age of the Kazakh Khanate opened the Days of Kazakhstan Cinema at the Ashgabat Cinema Hall. Besides, another Kazakh film Paralympians was screened as part of the Cinema Days.
The event attracted more than 3,000 people. The monument to great poet Abai will unveil on October 10 in Lachyn Park in Ashgabat. The event will be graced by the presence of the leaders from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
As earlier reported, the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Kazakhstan were held in June in Astana. The event was organized by Culture and Information Ministry of Kazakhstan and Culture Ministry of Turkmenistan.
