ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): Former President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) and Member of the Central Core Committee of the United Business Group (UBG) Ahsan Bakhtawari has termed the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Islamabad as a rare opportunity for Pakistan to promote trade ties with members countries and improve connectivity.
in a statement he said The SCO summit is a significant diplomatic achievement for the government, and we must utilize this platform to boost trade, business-to-business relations, and connectivity.
He added that Pakistan is hosting a major global forum after a long time, providing an ideal opportunity to showcase its soft and positive image to the world. The large presence of SCO member countries in Pakistan will pave the way for investment and economic ties.
He emphasized that Pakistan has the potential to become an ideal destination for investment, trade, and tourism. He stressed the importance of highlighting Pakistan’s positive aspects to foreign delegates.
He appealed to avoid protests and sit-ins during the summit, warning that any unpleasant incident during the foreign dignitaries’ presence would bring shame to the nation.
He commended the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for preparing Islamabad for the conference. “The Chairman CDA and other administrative officers deserve appreciation for their efforts,” he said.
