KARACHI ( WNAM REPORT): Italian Navy Aircraft Carrier ITS CAVOUR and Frigate ITS ALPINO visited Karachi from 14 to 16 Oct 24 and conducted bilateral exercise in North Arabian Sea. The exercise was aimed to enhance interoperability and mutual professional skills while conducting joint operations in maritime arena.
During the visit, an Italian delegation led by the Ambassador of Italy along with Capability Director of the Italian Defence General Staff exchanged views with senior PN officials and local media fraternity. Italian Ambassador expressed her resolve towards enhancement of Pak-Italy Naval and trade collaboration.
Joint exercises in maritime domain with key maritime nations is a manifestation of PN’s resolve towards assured maritime order in the region.
