Media, whether it is print or electronic was always known for developing personality cult of film actors, sportsmen and politicians. Now with the live coverage of judicial proceedings in superior courts of the country the lawyers’ community too has started taking full advantage of it to enhance their clientele. It is through media that one has come to know that there are barristers galore in the country who are also using the platform of various political parties to further their career in legal profession.
Small wonder they come before the camera on the idiot box almost daily to air their views on various legal matters under discussion in the country. This process gives them a lot of leverage to promote themselves in their profession for enhancing their clientele which is fair enough.
Had media been not there many of them would have remain and faded in oblivion.
